Fall sneaks up on us, bringing cooler days and a natural invitation to slow down and turn inwards.
Every year around this time, I go to a mindfulness retreat. It’s also the month I lost my father, so this season has become a quiet time of reflection for me — and, over the years, a tradition of sharing some of what I’ve learned about mindful eating and the inspirations I’ve gathered from cooking and practicing at Buddhist temples.
On October 21st, I’ll be cooking a menu inspired by zen temple food: simple, seasonal dishes prepared with intention meant to shared and eaten with presence. We will gather in a fairytale green house, a true retreat in the heart of bustling Amsterdam.
No prior meditation experience is needed. In fact, this is a very easy going way to get introduced to the practice.
Expect a multi-course menu inspired by zen buddhist temple food, and a couple of my favorite mindfulness exercises during the meal.
Vegan and non alcoholic menus are available at checkout.
